celebrating queer & trans pride and joy in every photo

A Little More About the Project

In 2018, my 17 year -recently out- old self, noticed that there weren’t a lot of accessible, if any, pride events in town much less anywhere in North Georgia except for the metro areas. I couldn’t hold any events myself, I was still a teenager, but I did have a Canon camera and lots of free time, so I figured I could take photos of the queer folk I knew and also just talk to them during these photo sessions, and I was blessed to learn more about them, their experiences being queer in the South, and also just to have a nice time with them throughout it all! At the start of quarantine in April 2020 I had enough photos (and time), to create a zine with the photos. Because of COVID I took a break from the project, but I am picking it back up in 2022 and am excited to be able to continue the project and learn more about the beautiful people that makeup my local queer community!
